How can you tell the difference:
Infectious Pink Eye
The main sign is that is usually only affects one eye. There is sensitivity to light, prominently scratchy and swelling around the eye lids. A discharge of pus and mucus will many times also be present especially in the mornings.
Allergic Pink eye
Present in both eyes at the same time mostly even though one may be more prominent in some people. Severe itching and the presence of other symptoms of allergies such as hay fever, rhinitis etc.
There is a simple cure that is accessible to everyone and it is the lemon cure.
Pink Eye Lemon cure: (this is mostly for pink eye of the infectious type)

- Lie down on your back
- Get someone to squeeze one or two drops of lemon juice in the eye.
